Rare moment : Lure got back Ah Lao's fishing set up which was pulled into water by a Snakehead aka Toman some time ago  Posted: Fri Feb 29, 2008 11:16 pm SH and me went to wet some lines today. Things were getting bored as there was no action. Then we changed lures and realised we were going to use shads. " Eh competition leh, see who can catch the most fish with his shad. " SH suggested. I agreed and the battle is on ! We settled on a spot and casted.. worked our shads with different techniques like slow retrieve with constant twitching, retrive and jerking, etc etc. "I think my shad abit too small.." SH was complaining then he got a bite! Wah kao.. He gave it a strike and intially i thought it was a toman or a PB, turned out to be a fiesty tilipia which tried to fight like either one.  the fake toman/PeacockBass.. OH NO, 1-0! Nevermind, still early..i continued twitching and after some time.. "Pop!" Omg, a PB jumped out of the water and whacked my shad jus in front of me, so i immediately landed it .  jumped all over the place and became dirty .. Draw liao leh hehehe :X Walked to next spot.. did the same stuff. We saw a guromi but it doesn't show any interest in our lures..Then a felt i tug on my line and set the hooks. Its a..a.. luohan fish..  Captive for a while. Proceeded further down. Argh.. my shad kept hooking onto rubbish :giddy: ..so i lifted my rod and twitched so that it won't swim that deep. Hooked onto what i thought was some plastic when it started to put up a fight :..Another PB!  Head swollen liao you still wan catch me.. We decided to call it a day with the scores SH 1 Hizodge 3
