It has been a long time since we went to a certain freshwater spot. SH and i decided to pay it a visit. Woke up in the morning and looked at the sky. Omg.. lots of dark clouds gathering. . Furthermore, we had missed the first light timing due to the low rate of available taxis . Having no choice we hired one and off we go ! Reached the place after a short while and started setting up. Water's not bad considering the heavy downpour yesterday. The only setback is that it is kind of choppy. Nevertheless, we loaded our lures and start to work them, hoping to get something that will give our reel a good run and a nice bend on the rod. Nothing seems to be taking ! I fixed on my 'warhorse', and started to crank real slow, crank once twitch, crank once twitch, followed by some light jerks, felt a tug, and striked. FiSH~A pb ! It wasn't really a big one as i reeled it back without any hassle but it dropped . SH also got one after mine..also drop . . After that we continue casting.. " Wah .. got big ripple coming out from those grass" i told SH . Knowing that it was only a matter of time before whatever was in those grass swim out, we lingered at the spot, casting near that area. " School !" SH exclaimed. Things start to heat up as the school was boiling and swimming at a fast rate. Soon our lures were mortaring all over it. However, the guardian of the school wasn't showing any interest. SH changed to a sammy and walked sharply. That caught its attention and it surfaced ! I quickly casted over , slow cranks with sharp jerks. Suddenly, i felt a very strong tug. " ZZzzzzz.. !" Line was peeling out of my reel in a alarmingly fast pace. A few seconds later it stopped. I pumped the fish back, trusting the strength of my rod . That's when i thought it threw hook, i was wrong as my line peeled out furiously again. It didn't take long before it was subdued.

Thanks to SH for helping on the landing.

Surprisingly the fight was very good for its size. It was released back to the babies after photo-taking. SH, not giving up took out his rattling rapala. He began dragging it across the bottom when something took it and his leader broke. Maybe the leader rubbed against the rocks? After a few last casts, we leave the place and call it a day
